Michael Jackson Would’ve Turned 54 Today
Today, Aug. 30, marks what would have been the 54th birthday of Michael Joseph Jackson, the King of Pop who passed away tragically four years ago. Jackson’s children were spotted at the singer’s childhood home in Gary, Indiana Tuesday, Aug, 28 along with their co-guardian Katherine Jackson and their aunt La Toya. Their other newly appointed co-guardian TJ Jackson was also on hand. According to TMZ, Paris, Blanket and Prince Michael will attend the city’s annual “Goin’ Back to Indiana” celebration that kicks off tonight with a candlelight vigil. The kids are also expected to throw out the first pitch at a Gary SouthShore RailCats baseball game this week.
In related Michael Jackson news, it was announced today that Clark Atlanta University would be offering an MBA course on Jackson titled ‘Michael Jackson: The Business of Music.’ Students will learn how the singer raked in billions even post death. “The class will feature a curriculum that reviews everything about Jackson’s empire — from how he negotiated his tours, record deals, and merchandising, to how he revolutionized legal practices related to entertainment copyrights, trademarks, licenses and more,” an official press release stated. “The course will also highlight the late pop-star’s dealing in TV, real estate, film and music publishing.”
