Designers Nicole Harry, Shelly Patoff-Becker and Taneasha Prunty will represent for the Chicago fashion scene on Tuesday, Sept. 11 at New York Fashion Week.
The Spring 2013 Collection for GIDI, designed by Prunty, will show at EMERGE! For New York City Fashion Week. EMERGE! is one of the top new designer platforms during New York Fashion Week that has provided launches for several of Chicago’s well known designers such as: Borris Powell, Barbara Bates and GOCA.
A 2011-2012 Chicago Fashion Incubator Designer in Residence, Prunty makes designs that are classic, sophisticated and a little bit edgey. GIDI designs effectively incorporate that wow factor, coupled with sweet subtlety. Prunty is a self-taught designer who was inspired by her mother to begin designing at a young age. Showcasing her collection during New York Fashion Week has been a lifelong ambition for Prunty since childhood.
