It’s been ab0ut 20 years since Nash got the news that shattered her world. The convicted killer who shot Niecy Nash’s brother has fatally stabbed his wife, the police believe, according to tmz.com.
The reputed murderer, Robert Lee Heard, has been apprehended in Northern Louisiana Saturday as the prime suspect in the grizzly murder of his 35-year-old wife Demetra Doyle Heard.
Nash is swimming in grief all over again because of Heard’s alleged murder. It was in 1993 when Heard, then 16 years old, was convicted of shooting and killing Nash’s brother, Michael Ensley, at his high school in Reseda, Calif., about a half-hour northwest of Los Angeles. Heard was committed to a juvenile corrections facility until 2002.
But right after getting out, Heard was convicted of attempted first-degree murder the following year and was subsequently sent to prison. He was released in 2011.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t take much time before Heard apparently possessed with the overwhelming urge to kill again. Police found his wife stabbed to death in Sheveport, La., and believe Heard is the perpetrator of this egregious crime.
Meanwhile, Nash’s heart hurts for another family torn asunder by a psychopath’s alleged heinous act.
“No family should have to endure the loss of a loved one at the hands of a previously convicted violent criminal,” Nash said to TMZ.
“I am deeply saddened to hear that the man who murdered my brother, Michael Ensley, has been charged with murder again,” she added. “I grieve for every family who has been victimized by this heinous individual. My prayers and love go out to the family of Demetra Doyle Heard during this trying time.”
