President Obama Says Beyonce a Role Model
It was a closed set at the 40/40 Club in New York on Tuesday. The royal hip-hop couple, Jay-Z and Beyoncé, hosted a fundraiser for President Obama.
Hours before the top-secret affair, Jay-Z tweeted:
Guest list. Obama plus 40.
Beyoncé, wearing a red cocktail dress, gave a brief introduction of the president.
“I can’t tell you how proud we are to host tonight’s event with President Obama,” she said. “We believe in his vision.”
Our 44th president praised his hostess saying, “To Jay and Bey, thank you so much for your friendship. Beyoncé could not be a better role model for my girls,” according to a pool report. He added that he and Jay-Z have a few things in common.
“We both have daughters and our wives are more popular than we are. So, you know, we’ve got a little bond there. It’s hard but it’s OK.”
“Michelle, Sasha and Malia are mad at me because they aren’t here.”
At the $40,000 a person fundraiser, the party planners built a golden tower of 350 bottles of Ace of Spades, Hova’s favorite champagne, and served finger foods.
