On Wednesday, Oct. 3, NBC hosted a private screening of their new high-octane drama, “Chicago Fire.” Select Detroit fans and tastemakers were invited to the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History for an exclusive first look at the latest project from Emmy Award-winning executive producer, Dick Wolf of “Law & Order” fame.

“Chicago Fire” is an edge-of-your-seat look into the professional and personal lives of the firefighters, rescue squad, and paramedics of Chicago Firehouse 51. The weekly series depicts much more than the dangers, conflicts and clutch moments faced on the job as emergency responders. It also examines the personal and relational tolls exacted by the pressure to perform at such a high level, and the triumphs that can result when you dare to take big risks. – Kiera D. Lytle
