It goes without saying that Lupe Fiasco is unlike any other talent that hip-hop has ever seen. The strange emcee is unafraid of challenging society and its authority figures, yet he has an angelic sense of care when it comes to helping his community. And, his uncanny way with words at times seems otherworldly. But, maybe that’s because Lupe has seen a world other than this one. According to the rapper, he was once visited by aliens when he was a child.
“When I was 11, I definitely had an extra-worldly experience,” Lupe said during a recent visit to “Big Boy’s Neighborhood” morning show on Power 106 in Los Angeles.
As Lupe recalls, he was laying “head to foot” with his cousin, in bed, in the early morning when the extraterrestrial encounter happened.
“I remember waking up and just being shocked, like I was surrounded by all this electricity. And, I was trying to call to wake my cousin up and roll out the bed and I couldn’t move,” Lupe explained. “Then, I got surrounded by all this blue electricity.”
Though Big Boy called Lupe “crazy,” the rapper continued on and explained that he saw a real UFO during the experience.
“I’m trying to move and I’m really getting shocked, I feel it. So, It stops and I look out the window and I see a black disc fly down in front of the window, sits there and then flies out,” said Lupe.
Big Boy’s co-host, Rikki Martinez, also shared a similar story, and though Martinez could not prove her account, Lupe says that the aliens left evidence of their encounter on his ankle.
“I had got like a scar on the bottom of my ankle, I don’t know where it came from,” he explained. “I never had surgery there, I don’t remember falling there. I’ve done martial arts my whole life, the whole thing it could be something from that, but …”
