Notorious Madams, Pimps and Prostitutes: Big Pimpin’, Big Profit

Notorious Madams, Pimps and Prostitutes: Big Pimpin', Big Profit

Zumba dance instructor Alexis Wright’s indecorum has rocked Kennebuck, Maine, to its core. Authorities have charged Wright, 29, with engaging in sexual relations with at least 150 johns, single and married, in the New England town. According to the 2000 U.S. Census, the population was only 10,798. Funny!

Prostitution is an old, tax-free trade and these sex acts in question we can agree were consensual. For whatever reason, members of this hypersexual society are awed whenever a case makes the news. Not sure if it’s because Wright racked up $150,000 over 18 months or if it’s because the list of names released by the media, shockingly, match with an attorney, a businessman and a former elected official in southern Maine, leaving residents rolling eyes, whispering and lowering window shades.

Rolling out has released a list of its own — 12 of the most popular pimps, madams and prostitutes. This vice is immortal because it’s quite profitable. It’s no wonder women have become as notorious as men. –yvette caslin
