Two teenage brothers became pimps while living in their mother’s home. According to reports by KXLY, Thaishaun Hunter, 17, and Dionte Hunter, 15, ran their illegal operation in Spokane, Washington.

Initially, Thaishaun started the prostitution business. But when he was involved in a drive-by shooting at a grocery store, police arrested him and set his bond at $175K. Police soon began taping his phone calls in hopes of finding out more about the shooting. They eventually stumbled upon the family’s illegal business.

In one of the phone calls, Thaishaun was caught telling his brother how to run the prostitution business. He told him to recruit girls as young as 14 and to take pictures of them wearing scantly clad outfits. He then told him to upload the pictures on Backpage.com and to charge customers $400 per session.

The money was to go toward Thaishaun’s bail, and the rest was given to their mother. Police were able to put a stop to the operation after locating the girls who revealed that they weren’t given much money after performing the sex acts.

In addition to the shooting charge, Thaishaun was charged with promoting the prostitution of underage girls. Teachers at Dionte’s high school, Rogers High, told the judge that he was a great athlete and an intelligent student. However, he was still charged as an adult.

The teenagers’ mother has yet to be charged with a crime after accepting the money earned by the prostitutes.
