These FAMU engineering grads had to be listed together. If they are not yet household names outside of urban America, then their prolific production company, Rainforest Films, is and most certainly the movies they have produced and/or directed as of late: Act Like a Man, Jumping the Broom, Stomp the Yard, This Christmas, Trois, Pandora’s Box, Obsessed with Beyonce and Takers. Packer’s and Hardy’s work the past decade has helped turn Atlanta into what is now commonly called “Hollywood South.”
