Sheldon Stephens, an aspiring model, tried to damage the reputation and career of “Sesame Street” muppeteer Kevin Clash, the voice of the beloved Elmo, claiming he had a relationship with him when he was 16 and underage. Clash, 52, denied the claim that he engaged in sex with a minor and countered saying they were consenting adults.
Stephens recanted and confirmed the relationship did in fact occur after he was 18-years-old – legalyan adult.
Stephens, 24, describes himself on Facebook:
“I like to consider myself a rare breed. I’m very spontaneous and random … I’d determined and goal oriented. My destiny is laid on a solid gold brick pathway. MY FUTURE IS BRIGHT and never will it dim.
His past to the contrary is quite dim. He’s been arrested for robbery, writing bad checks and reckless driving.
He was reportedly negotiating with “Sesame Street” for a six-figure settlement. Of course with the recant that deal is off the table.–yvette caslin
