Richard Pryor sets himself on fire
In 1980, iconic comedian Richard Pryor poured rum on himself and then set himself on fire, before running down his street and being subdued by police. Pryor told the press that it was an accident, but his then-wife Jennifer Pryor revealed that it was a drug-induced suicide attempt.
