Drexel King the new face of the U.S. Marines, shines in Times Square

When Drexel King was growing up in Raleigh, N.C., the son of an Army man never imagined that he’d be on television or be the face of the U.S. Marine Corps. He also never envisioned that he’d see himself on the JumboTron in Times Square, a destination hotspot in New York City that’s visited by over 26 million tourists per year.

King, a young husband and father, has witnessed his wildest dream come true. He’s a shining example for aspiring young black men and women.


Here, the first lieutenant gives a lesson in leadership, education, family values and physical fitness.
