Rick Ross says he tried to choke Young Jeezy

Rick Ross and Young Jeezy made a splash or rather a violent rumble at this year’s BET Hip-Hop Awards when the two rappers and their crews got into a heated brawl backstage. Since then, Jeezy shared his thoughts on the fight, but now Ross is providing more details about the brawl, saying that he actually tried to choke Jeezy.

In a recent interview with 99 Jamz, Ross gave an overview of the fight and revealed that he’s the one who started it.

“When we crossed paths, I said ‘Wassup,’ as soon as he said ‘wassup,’ I tried to choke him,” Ross said bluntly.

Ross wasn’t the only MMG star to get into a scuffle at the awards show; MMG rapper Gunplay also got into a fight with 50 Cent’s crew after he tried to attack the rapper. Gunplay was later arrested for the fight.

Ross says that Gunplay was originally with him at the show, but Gunplay became separated from the group due to the Ross-Jeezy fight. That’s when Gunplay came across 50 and his team.

“That’s how he ended up in the trailers on the other by himself in that situation or we would’ve been there and that would’ve been a totally different story,” Ross explained.

With his beefs with 50 Cent and Jeezy still alive and well, Ross says that he’s more than ready for a fight with the two rappers, though, he says it’s nothing personal.

“You gotta understand, with me it’s nothing personal. I’m a hands-on-type dude. I’m better with my hands than I am at making music,” he said. “So it’s not personal, but if I see Young Jeezy again, will I try to choke him? I don’t know that’s an option. If I see 50 Cent, is it personal? Not at all, but it’s an option.”

Well, looks like we may see some more unnecessary acts of violence between these hip-hop stars in the future. Unfortunately, they’re not alone in their penchant for violence. Check out some other beefs that got physical below. – nicholas robinson
