What to wear: Styles for the corporate shark

The holiday season is the perfect opportunity to show what you look like outside of your normal 9-5 business attire. Harrison Crite, male fashion blogger  teaches us how men can balance comfort, style and versatility in order to maintain swag during the most wonderful time of the year.

It’s all about the lapel

Most corporate parties do not require a three-piece suit, so this calls for the perfect time to utilize a unique blazer. Holiday parties bring the perfect opportunities to dress ”comfortably formal” without wearing a full tuxedo. A man’s lapel sets the tone for his presence at an event and tells a lot about his mood. When attending holiday functions, stray away from the typical “notch” lapel (which is most frequently worn at work) and impress your co-workers and boss with a more formal jacket like a rounded shawl lapel on a tuxedo dinner jacket or a peaked lapel most commonly found on double breasted blazers.

This allows your corporate peers to know you mean business and business means style. Play with different separates that compliment your stylish jacket by pairing your look with dark trousers or dark denim.
