Lupe Fiasco Loosens Up, Has More Fun With Music
Remember when Lupe Fiasco dropped “Kick, Push” and “Superstar”? He was a young Chicago kid telling his South Side story and giving us reasons to think about the ills within the black community. But somewhere along the way, he got mad at his label, hip-hop and much of the world. He still created good music, but it wasn’t as much fun. If Lupe can return to the essence of making fun music while giving life lessons, hip-hop would be in a better place.
