Seattle-based rapper Freddy E., who showed a flair for comedic videos and had a 75,000-person following on Twitter, committed suicide early this morning/late last night. Fans, fellow industry artists, friends and other celebrities have taken to social media to express their heartfelt and gut-wrenching feelings about the unexpected tragedy.
The family of Freddy E., born Frederick Eugene Buhl, also released a statement about their son’s passing, putting to rest any lingering feelings that this could have been a sick Twitter prank.
Freddy E. had a close and complicated relationship with fellow label mate Honey Cocaine, who were both signed to Tyga’s label, and committed suicide right after he described how he was going to take his own life on his Twitter account, shocking tens of thousands of people nationwide.
