Common vs. Drake
Common will always be respected as a top hip-hop lyricist. But he didn’t get any props for dissing Drake for being sensitive and soft. We all know Drake isn’t a street rapper and there is no way he can pretend to be. Common didn’t have to point out the obvious. It was like the high school jock bullying the pretty boy who gets all of the girls because he can sing. And we don’t need conscious rappers playing the bully role.
