On Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013, Ticketmaster inadvertently emailed a link to buy tickets to the 2013 Inauguration events to be held at Walter E. Washington Convention Center on Sunday, Jan. 19, 2013. This email was a day ahead of schedule. Tickets nearly sold out immediately.
