Kenya Moore’s controversial “relationship” with Walter Jackson has been the talk of the town for months, ever since Jackson alleged to the press that Moore paid him to act as her boyfriend for the “The Real Housewives of Atlanta.” And now, the last standing original “Housewife,” NeNe Leakes, is weighing on on the controversy and saying that she’s insulted by Moore’s “phony” relationship.
Leakes spoke about the relationship during a recent trip to “The Wendy Williams Show,” where she defended the “reality” aspect of “RHOA” and claimed that Moore’s fake relationship was tarnishing the show’s image.
“I’ve been a ‘Housewife of Atlanta’ for five seasons, going into my sixth season and everything we do on the show is legit. We’re not scripted. We are real. So, to look at Kenya and Walter [Jackson] and to know they did something that was unethical to our franchise, I feel is awful,”
Leakes also commented on the most recent episode, in which Moore and Walter’s relationship hit rock bottom on a fishing trip as Walter dismissed their romance problems.
“I would have to say that I think it was a good acting scene. I almost believed them. It was like, ‘where is the script?’” said Leakes.
The “New Normal” star also revealed that she will be returning for a sixth seaon of “RHOA,” if only to make sure that the other ladies are keeping it real.
“I have to be there to make sure people aren’t coming on there with phony stories,” she said.
