The famed lyrical virtuoso was a member of the Queens-based Juice Crew, but made no secret regarding where he rested his head. A native of Bed-Stuy, Kane would be the borough’s shining star in the late ’80s and early ’90s, as Queens natives like Rakim, LL Cool J and Kool G Rap practically dominated New York City hip-hop.
