Inauguration 2013: The people speak (photos)

Ola Allen, Mary Allen, Tiffany Allen, Rosyln Rose, all originally from Detroit (Tiffany now lives in metro D.C.)

Why did you decide to come to the 57th Inauguration:

Rosyln Rose: We missed the first time because we misse dthe first time. and we are happy and pleased to be supporting our president, Barack Obama.

Ola Allen: I’m from Highland Park, Mich. and I’m here to support the president. And I pray that he is able to be successful and represent our country.

Tiffany Allen: I’m from Detroit but I live here now and I had to come out and support Obama

Mary Allen: I’m from Detroit and I am happy to be here and I am enjoying myself.

What didn’t Obama do during his 1st term that you hope that he gets done during his 2nd?

Ola Allen: I hope that he continues to put more into education and there are some things that he started and I hope that he gets the opportunity to finish what he started.

Rosyln Rose: He did a good job the first time (first term), but there is a lot of work to be done. I am from Detroit and the economy is bad there. So we want to see things done for our area. And also when it comes to the African American. There’s a lot more work to be done there and we hope that he gets it done.

Tiffany Allen: My main concern is the economy and bringing jobs back to the home front (from foreign land) and bring them back for the people of the United States. That is what I’m looking to see.
