Angel Haze may be one of hip-hop’s brightest new stars, but the fiery rhymer already has her eye on doing something other than being known for rapping. Haze talked about her newfound fame with Interview magazine, and revealed that she wants to be a rock star.
“I don’t think anyone — regardless of how cocky they are — is ever prepared for this,” she said, speaking of the otherworldliness of celebrity.
Haze added that she feels that being a rock star feels more open and less stifling than being a rapper.
“There are so many criteria you have to meet if you say you want to be a rapper,” she says. “With rock stars, it’s about how crazy they are. They get to do whatever they want.”
