Drake began his music career in February 2006, releasing his first mixtape Room for Improvement via his website and official MySpace page. The following year he released the mixtape Comeback Season, which was moderately successful, but was enormously successful in terms of bringing him to the attention of superstar Lil Wayne, who called the rapper himself and asked him to board a plane to the States after his single and video, “Replacement Girl,” was featured on BET’s “106 & Park.”
