“Don’t Be Afraid” by Aaron Hall
Hall has claimed loudly that fellow R&B star R. Kelly (you’ll be hearing more from him later, folks) stole much of his sound and style from the former Guy frontman. He may have stolen more than that — considering this, Hall’s first solo hit, practically screams pedophilia. He opens the song with a kiddie prayer (WEIRD!) then sings about “going beddy-bye” and, to add to the creepiness, how “all the doors are locked.”
