Nathan McCall gained national attention after the release of his first memoir Makes Me Wanna Holler. In the book, McCall describes his turbulent upbringing and time in prison. After his release, McCall eventually graduated from Norfolk State University and worked as a journalist for the Washington Post and Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
McCall currently serves as a lecturer at Emory University in Atlanta.
