While performing in 2007 in Fishkill, N.Y., Akon became angry when a fan threw an object onstage. After the fan was pointed out by others, the star beckoned security to bring him to the stage. Akon then lifted the young man over his shoulders and hurled him back into the crowd. After being charged with endangering a minor, the singer would later claim the incident was staged for the show.
