Gay Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity mayoral candidate beaten, burned in Mississippi

Clarksdale, Mississippi’s first openly gay mayoral candidate, Marco McMillian, 34, had a promising future in politics. His life was cut short last week. His godfather, Carter Womack, revealed to the media today that the Coahoma County (Mississippi) coroner reported that McMillian had been beaten and burned, before it was dragged under a fence and left near a Mississippi River levee.
