Apples, bananas and oranges all are great portable fruits. Pack some for the road, and you have a healthy snacking option for your train journey.

Nitrate free, low sodium turkey breast sandwiches are a good choice for lunch. Add mustard in between the turkey slices and keep the bread from going soggy for a long time.


  1. Cut up veggies

Cut up your favorite salad veggies or buy them pre-cut, throw them into a sandwich bag and you are good to go.
