When these two connected in the Spike Lee classic Jungle Fever, Wesley Snipes was at the pinnacle of his creative powers and was one of the biggest box-office draws in Hollywood. Berry was making her impressive movie debut as a crack-addicted lover of Samuel L. Jackson. It is widely rumored, though Berry has never confirmed, that Snipes was the one who abused her so badly that he knocked out 80 percent of the hearing in one of her ears. She said she “left skid marks” out of the relationship that produced that injury.

Today, Berry remains one of the most sought-after paparazzi subjects and Snipes is serving time for tax evasion.
