According to reports, some of the most beloved and famous women in American are infected with the sexually transmitted disease, genital herpes.
Moreover, the shame and humiliation associated with the disease can be so overwhelming that some will go to great lengths to cover it up. According to ABC News, an unnamed A-list celebrity with a net worth of more than $100 was sued in 2011 for $20 million for knowingly having sexual intercourse with an unsuspecting fan in Las Vegas. The sexual relations was captured on their cell phones “to relive the magic over and over again” and eventually resulted in an intense bidding war among porn companies, TMZ reported. The case was eventually settled out of court.
The fan got her money, but it won’t erase the emotional and physical toll she will endure for the rest of her life because of one night of sexual indiscretion.
