In western England, they love their bacon. Tangberry’s cafe offers the world’s most expensive bacon sandwich according to the World Record Academy. This isn’t your normal bacon, lettuce, and tomato sandwich (BLT). The sandwich’s high price is justified by the expensive ingredients used in the creation. It includes, eggs and “rare breed bacon,” black truffles, truffle oil, gold leaf, gold dust and saffron. What exactly is “rare breed bacon?” Could it be just overpriced mystery meat?
