10 best hip-hop record labels of all time

6. Bad Boy

Diddy never shaped Bad Boy to purely be a hip-hop label, but the company was responsible for several of the top hip-hop albums in history. The Notorious B.I.G.’s Ready to Die and Life After Death were classics that stand the test of time. Diddy’s masterful ability to market his artists beyond music has made nearly every Bad Boy release seem as if it were a special event. Unfortunately, every prominent  artist that has signed to Bad Boy eventually left the label. The label released Machine Gun Kelly in 2012 and will also release French Montana this year.
