Most important business failure: Magic discussed how he opened a sports paraphernalia store. He was even the buyer and flew to Chicago and picked out the jerseys, shirts, socks, shoes, etc. But for the first four or five months, he could not sell a thing. “I bought and tried to sell everything that I liked,” he finally realized. “when you go into business, always make it about the customer and not what you like.”
