Rapper Lil Wayne made headlines earlier this year when he went on a profanity-filled tirade during a Cash Money Records party at NBA All-Star Weekend in Houston. The hip-hop star had previously claimed that he was banned from the Miami Heat’s arena after an incident during a game between the Heat and the Los Angeles Lakers. While attending the party, he decided to let the world know how he felt about the reigning NBA champs.
“When I say ‘F–k,’ you say ‘NBA.’ F–k! When I say ‘F–k,’ you say ‘Miami Heat.’ F–k! You let them n—as know I’m from the streets so I ain’t going on no Twitter beef,” Wayne said at the time. “Take it to the f–king streets, n—a. F–k all these n—as. F–k LeBron [James], f–k [Dwyane] Wade, f–k all them n—as man. And, and, and I f–ked Chris Bosh‘s wife.”
The rant instantly made headlines, with Bosh’s wife, Adrienne, dismissing Weezy’s claims.
But during a recent appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” Wayne confessed that he made up the “banning” story and admitted that he may have been a little over-the-top that night.
“It’s not true, I didn’t get banned, they did tell me I’m allowed back whenever I want,” Wayne said in regards to the Miami Heat. “I don’t think they want me there, so I won’t make it hard on either of us.” Wayne was also asked about the infamous Bosh comment.
“I said that?” he asked, laughing. “I was too turnt up that night. I was a little too turnt up.”
