Kenya Moore evicted for failing to pay $848 in rent
After being sued by her landlord for failing to pay her rent in full, Kenya Moore has been evicted from her home. As previously reported Moore was facing eviction after her falling $848 short on the rent for the six-bedroom, six-bathroom $3999-a-month Georgia mansion she was residing in.
Now according to Radar Online, she’s being booted from the property after a Fulton County judge ruled in her landlord’s favor.
“I am making this statement as a result of the eviction order and judgment made against my former tenant, Kenya Moore, on June 18, 2013 in the Magistrate Court of Fulton County,” landlord Conya Weems told RadarOnline.com.
“The decision to file this eviction notice regarding Ms. Moore was reached after pursuing every possible amicable way to settle this matter privately. I am grateful that the judicial system has brought finality to this eviction process and I look forward to regaining possession of my home.”
Moore was a no-show in court for the complaint hearing.
A countersuit Moore filed against Weems for wrongful eviction, slander and emotional distress was also dismissed.
Moore has yet to publicly respond to today’s eviction. -danielle canada
