In light of Paula Deen’s recent admittance of using the N-word, The Food Network has decided not to extend Paula Deen’s contract, which is due for renewal at the end of this month. Deen has apologized but the apology wasn’t enough to save her show.
A lawsuit was filed against the butter loving cooking southern woman for using the N-word towards black employees at her restaurant. The lawsuit also claims she wanted black workers to dress as slaves.
Deen is sticking to her story that the word was used 25 years ago. She was to appear on “The TODAY Show” on June 21; however, she backed out at the last minute but has since released two video apologies that are available on YouTube.
