Rap emcee TroubleSum has had the Houston hip-hop community in the palm of her hands for more than 10 years performing alongside hip-hop heavyweights such as Bun B, Trae the Truth, Slim Thug and Chamilionaire. Recently, TroubleSum “Houston’s First Lady of Hip Hop” released her long awaited Stiletto 2 the Pedal mixtape followed by weeks of club promotions, video release parties and radio interviews around the southwest region.
“S2TP is basically my street album but it really shows my growth as an artist. The beats you’ll hear on this project are very different from my previous mixtapes, but my delivery on this project is still very true to who I am as an artist. The production turned out exactly the way I wanted it to, thanks to super producers Big E Beatz, Cory Mo and Willie Stax. It was so amazing working with each of them because they brought so many different flavors to each song which meshed the project together so well” said TroubleSum.
The mixtape has been released to great reviews and even received a mixtape of the summer rating by music critic Joey Guerra of the Houston Chronicle. When asked what she plans to do with this growing momentum, Troublesum simply replied, “Stay on my grizzy! I never take anything for granted. I’m going to continue creating opportunities and taking advantage of the ones that come my way. This momentum will only help me keep my face out there by putting out good music, video blog’s and music videos. I’ve been juggling workshops and casting calls as well, so hopefully, my fans will see me featured on a sitcom soon or in another movie.”
