The young and talented duo Lil Faime and B Reed are back on the radio with their hit single “Club Rock (Errbody Rockin’)” and have been receiving amazing feedback on their iYess mixtape. Since the mixtape’s release it has received 25,000 downloads and 750,000 YouTube views and is one of the most popular songs across the southeast. “It’s so cray,” said Lil Faime, “the song has taken off so fast that even college marching bands are using our music in their routines.”
The Dallas natives have been dominating the hip-hop club market and teens across the globe have uploaded thousands of videos to YouTube depicting themselves dancing to Yung Nation’s music. The group has also developed their own language when talking to fans that they have coined “Nation Speak.”
When asked about the meanings of some of the terms B Reed replies “’iyess is just an over exaggeration of the regular word ‘yes,’ ” said B Reed. “Even our group’s name, Nation has started to mean ‘good looking out’; so you would say ‘that favor you did for me yesterday was Nation.’ There are many more examples like ‘nupid’ which is stupid but to a higher level, ‘skurr’ which means ‘I’m leaving’ and ‘stat outs’ are what we call promiscuous girls.”
