Few other performances were better suited to close out the show than Rock and Soul’s ArchAndroid, Janelle Monae, who set the stage on fire with a performance of her buzzing new single, “Q.U.E.E.N.” As always, “Jane” delivered packed a mighty vocal punch with her feminist lyrics and got the crowd going with her slick dance moves, and the performance was made all the more better by her “Q.U.E.E.N” comerade, Erykah Badu, who turned her whisper verse into a strong vocal fist and knocked everyone out when she walked a white poodle on stage with her.
