Critics of this Midwestern rapper sprouted like weeds when his debut album, Country Grammar, propelled him to fame. Detractors decried his candy commercial rap that appealed to mainstream audiences. Critics were even more upset when Nelly scored with another hit album a few years later, Nellyville. But that was more than 10 years ago and the St. Lunatic has yet to come close to that level of pop fame again. In fact, he has yet to land any hits at all in recent years.
