For any celebrity, it’s difficult to juggle their professional life with their personal life. Nicki Minaj, the reigning queen of hip-hop has seen her professional life get most of her attention over the last few years as a rising celebrity mogul. But now that Minaj has seemingly conquered the world of entertainment twice over, she’s now revealing that she’s looking forward to focusing on her personal life again and becoming a mom.

In a revealing new cover feature for the August issue of Marie Claire, Minaj explains that she had a “weird epiphany” while on tour in Australian that gave her a new perspective on the high-speed road of success that she’s been traveling.

“For the first time, I allowed myself to feel proud of where music had gotten me. I felt an overwhelming sense of gratitude,” she explained. “You feel the need to pay it forward, which starts with analyzing yourself with a true desire to grow.”

Minaj reveals that one of the things she’s discovered in analyzing herself is that she wants to become a mother in the near future.

“I was praying every day, ‘You know what, Lord? I want to be a mom one day, and I want to start becoming the woman who I want to parent my child,’” explained Minaj. “I wanted all of the feelings of entitlement to leave me, because some people have this life for a year or five or 10 — and a lot of them lose it. I didn’t want to become a person who wasn’t enjoying the moment.”

According to the rumor mill, Minaj has already begun to focus more on enjoying her personal life as many claim that Minaj and her hype man, Safaree “SB” Samuels, have secretly wed and were flauting their wedding bands at her Myx & Mingle Cruise.
