A 3,000 pound cow climbed onto the roof of a Brazilian family’s home and fell through, killing Joao Maria de Souza, 45. De Souza was asleep in bed when the cow, believed to have been grazing near the home, climbed onto the thin roof before falling.
The man was taken to a local hospital for abdominal trauma. He waited for hours before he was seen and was found to have internal bleeding. He died a day later.
This isn’t the first time a cow has fallen throught the roof of Brazilian home. There have been two other reports of cows who fell through roofs near the home of de Souza in the last three years, but no one was killed in either case.
