“Don’t Call Me Nigger, Whitey” by Sly & the Family Stone

The Family Stone was a multiracial collective and Sly’s early songs tended to be filtered through the haze of hippie idealism. One of the group’s angrier early songs was this psychedelic funk classic that took bigots to task for their prejudices.
