From Nas to LL Cool J: 10 ridiculously bad albums by legendary rappers

No. 1 Back From Hell by Run-D.M.C. (1990)

The album that almost killed their career and definitely brought their commercial momentum to a screeching halt, the fifth album from the Kings from Queens is an abominable mess. This project finds Run, Dee and Jay attempting to replace their traditionally hardcore sound with New Jack Swing-style production (bad idea) and injecting their brag-filled raps with social commentary (maybe a worse idea.) An embarrassing release that made the crew (who were only in their mid-20s) seem completely out of touch with their audience.
