Forest Whitaker and Lee Daniels attend ‘The Butler’ premiere in Chicago

Forest Whitaker and Lee Daniels attended the premiere of their latest film, Lee Daniels’ The Butler. Held at Kerasotes Showplace ICON, the screening was the first viewing in Chicago.

Lee Daniels’ The Bulter tells the story of White House butler Cecil Gaines (Forest Whitaker), who serves during seven presidential administrations between 1957 and 1986. The film was inspired by the real life butler, Eugene Allen.


Along with Whitaker, The Butler features a Oprah Winfrey, David Oyelowo, John Cusack, Jane Fonda, Cuba Gooding Jr, Terrence Howard, Lenny Kravitz, James Marsden, Alex Pettyfer, Vanessa Redgrave, Alan Rickman, Liev Schreiber and Robin Williams.
