After winding across the country, making stops everywhere from New Orleans to Baltimore, the Coors Light “Search for the Coldest” MC competition came to a close in New York City. With a line stretching around the block, Stage 48 hosted the grand finale. With hosts and judges Ice Cube, Bun B and DJ Drama on hand, a special appearance by Brooklyn rhymer Buckshot and Big Sean putting on a performance for the fans, the show was one for the ages.

Legendary rhymers Cube and Bun even graced the crowd with a few of their classic hits before the night was over.

But at the center of it all were four aspiring MCs: Atlanta’s winner Cribbs, Chicago winner Mr. Hyde, and two “wild card” finalists that were chosen via online voting: Miami rapper Dutch and Brooklyn’s Emtee. These up-and-coming rhymers competed for a chance to win $20,000, along with a track from Drama featuring a verse from Bun.
