Former B2K member, Raz B, never went into a coma after getting in a fight in China. According to CNN, the entire Raz B incident was a hoax.
Last week, reports surfaced that Raz B was hit in the head with a bottle while trying to break up a a fight during a performance in Shanghai. Although Raz B’s reps claim that he did receive injuries during a fight, they also said the injuries were non life-threatening.
The story of Raz B in a coma first broke on a celebrity blog that named Toy Jones as the main source. But when contacted by CNN, Jones would not give the name of the hospital where Raz B was being treated. Also, Jones later called CNN and told the outlet that he made a full recovery just hours after falling into the coma.
Raz B also sent an email to CNN and asked them not to publish a story on the incident. On Monday, Raz B’s reps revealed that the entire story was a hoax and they distanced themselves from Toy Jones.
However, Jones revealed that she was hired by Raz B’s family to promote the story to the media. There is a good chance that Raz B cried wolf to gain publicity after years of not being in the spotlight.
