Hip-hop superstar Kanye West has announced “The Yeezus Tour,” an upcoming 23-city trek across North America, with Kendrick Lamar joining him most of the dates in support of his latest album. The acclaimed Compton rhymer will be the opening act on “The Yeezus Tour” for all but five dates. The tour is being presented by AEG Live and will kick off on Oct. 19 in Seattle and end Dec. 7 in Houston.
Kanye performed dates earlier this year, previewing some of the material that wound up released on the Yeezus album this summer. West’s last major tour was with Jay-Z on the “Watch the Throne” Tour back in 2011. He hasn’t toured as a solo artist since 2008s acclaimed “Glow In the Dark” Tour. “The Yeezus Tour” will be touching down in most major markets including Atlanta, Los Angeles, Chicago, Toronto, Boston and New York City. West will play both Brooklyn and Manhattan in a four-day span.
Tickets go on sale in select markets starting Friday, Sept. 13.
