According to local police, Robinson, best known for his role on NBC’s “The Office” was arrested Wednesday for drug possession as he tried to vacate the Bahamas after a brief vacation.
Robinson was stopped as he tried to board a plane in Nassau, where “customs agents found a small amount of marijuana and pills deemed suspicious,” stated Supt. Stephen Dean of the Royal Bahamas Police Force.
Prosecutor Ercel Dorsett told court officials that Robinson entered the Bahamas with the drugs, not knowing that they were illegal. Luckily, in this case, Robinson was just ordered to pay a fine of $1,000 and to exit the country immediately. This could have easily landed him four years in prison according to Magistrate Andrew Forbes.
