Rev. James McGonegal was arrested in Cleveland for soliciting sex and masturbating in public. According to the Cleveland Plain Dealer, Rev. McGonegal, who is a priest at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, began soliciting sex while at the Cleveland Metroparks.
McGoneal approached an off duty park ranger and offered to pay $50 for oral sex. He then exposed himself and began masturbating in the crowded park. The park ranger called authorities who came and arrested McGonegal. They also confiscated several sex toys from his vehicles.
While in custody, McGoneal revealed that he was HIV-positive. He was charged with public indecency and abusing harmful intoxicants.
He was released on bail, but he did not attend services at St. Ignatius on Sunday.
